Cyprus seeks to build on the success and legacy of hosting the ICC World T20 Qualifiers.
The Cyprus Cricket Federation successfully hosted the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Sub-Regional Qualifier A in Limassol from May 16–23, 2026, showcasing Cyprus as an emerging destination for international cricket.
Held at Happy Valley in Episkopi, the tournament featured 10 nations and concluded with Jersey defeating Guernsey by four wickets in a thrilling final to keep their World Cup qualification hopes alive.
The Cyprus Cricket Federation extends its heartfelt appreciation to all volunteers, match officials, ground staff, and support personnel whose tireless efforts, professionalism, and commitment ensured the smooth delivery of the tournament.
Special recognition goes to Limassol Municipality for its valued support through the Lemesia Programme, as well as for actively promoting the tournament through social media platforms, local media channels, and news agencies. Their partnership greatly enhanced the visibility and reach of the event within Cyprus and beyond.
The Federation would also like to express sincere gratitude to British Forces Cyprus and the Sovereign Base Areas Administration for their exceptional cooperation, hospitality, and logistical support throughout the tournament. Their continued partnership remains instrumental in the development and hosting of international cricket events in Cyprus.
Further gratitude is extended to the Cyprus Sports Organization, Cyprus Olympic Committee, Ministry of Education, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their valuable support and encouragement.

School visits and criiio festivals were organised throughout the tournament to introduce young people to cricket, inspire future players, and further promote the sport within local communities. These activities reflected the Federation’s ongoing commitment to developing cricket at grassroots level in Cyprus.
